As part of the CREST innovation grant team, in an effort to replicate the protocols for COVID-19 wastewater detection at institutions such as the University of Maryland, we established a laboratory equipped to process wastewater samples and perform molecular techniques, including sample collection, RNA extraction and concentration, RNA analysis, cDNA production, and amplification using quantitative PCR (qPCR).
