Summary

I am a retired teacher with ample experience in elementary school and have taught Art to Kindergarten through 5th grade students over the last 6 years of teaching. After working with a middle school teacher in preparation of taking on middle school art in 2018-2019, the teacher went on to keep the position and flourish in the upcoming years. The Teacher of the Year for Elementary Teachers for Marion County in 2019 was also received . After writing a grant for the Arts Council in Marion County, West Marion was granted printing supplies. Reports of progress and completion was given to the council upon completion.

I miss the educational environment, especially in the creative realm, but would like a part-time position so not to be overwhelmed. The interaction with children can be challenging at times, but the payoff is worth it. I relish the excitement students get when creating .
