Completed: One full semester in a kindergarten grade level classroom. During this time I went from shadowing my mentor teacher to taking over almost completely the day to day teaching in the classroom. I was able to observe and interact with students and collaborate with my mentor teacher in many areas. I collaborated amongst colleagues in PLC time, as well as during staff meetings, and professional development days. I planned and led enrichment groups to meet student needs as well.

Completed: 46 hours in a third grade level classroom. I devised and taught a 50 minute lesson in mathematics. Which contained formal assessment and was based around common core standards. I was able to observe and interact with students throughout the whole time and aid in teaching lessons and guiding students.

Completed: 63.7 hours in a first grade level classroom. I devised and taught 3 lessons one with assessment and one with technology integration, all were based around common core standards. I was able to observe and interact with students and collaborate with my mentor teacher on what teaching strategies she used.
Help Yourself Academy (HYA), Lincoln Elementary School, Casper, Wy Spring 2021
Completed one full course of HYA, a college based volunteer program where I was able to work with children grades 3rd-5th in science. I mentored and guided students through new science activities every week in which they were able to work both hands on and collaboratively. I also collaborated with the advising teachers of the program and discussed what went well with each lesson and what could have been improved.
