Annie Black

As a library clerk at a small library, I have learned to do most things that happen at the library. I have learned how to read shelves, reshelve items, add items to our library, and check items in/out. I assist patrons, help people with printing/faxing, and help people laminate items. I have added obituaries from the Granville Sentinel to an online database, and know how to look up articles from historic newspapers. I enjoy the relationships I've made with my co-workers and the patrons. I enjoy when I can suggest an item to them, and they come back and say they loved it.

I watch children of various ages. I keep a consistent schedule with them. If there are any problems/issues, I deal with them as they come up, and try to help them with their problem-solving skills. I play games with them and read books to them. I also communicate with the parents weekly, going over the plan for the week.
