Coordinate supply gathering events. Students package Blessing Bags consisting of toothpaste, toothbrush, deodorant, socks, lotion, shampoo, soap, and snacks for individuals who are homeless or less fortunate. Bags are distributed monthly to Elijah Promise in New Brunswick. Created a functional and purposeful community service opportunity for young adults with disabilities., Elijah Promise New Brunswick, 2019-present, Initiated and started a community service project involving young adults with disabilities. Coordinate scheduling and volunteer hours with organization. Students volunteer once a month at Elijah Promise, involving dining room set up and cleaning. Students distribute Blessing Bags to clients. Created a functional and purposeful community service opportunity for young adults with disabilities., ACL Cafe-Fueled For Purpose, 2020, Initiated and started a job sampling program with in the Academy Learning Center school. Coordinated administration approval. Secured grant from Donors Choose to purchase supplies for Cafe. Coordinated and shared information with local Elks organization and secured $1000 to set up Cafe. Created a functional job opportunity for young adults with disabilities. Cafe serviced staff members once a month during their lunch periods.
