
Worked for six years in construction both in the field and in the office and for the past two years I have worked at a local UPS Store. Much of my experience has come from having to learn quickly on the job and thus I've learned to be adaptable and how to handle working under pressure. I am currently learning Graphic Design and feel this job may be a good opportunity to further develop my skills or at least enjoy a new experience.
As a sales associate at a UPS Store I have been required to perform a number of tasks the primary being pack and shipping. I also have experience with printing scanning faxing laminating notary and even finger printing services. Much of my time has been spent communicating with a variety of customers providing necessary assistance resolving any problems and taking abuse with a smile. Furthermore I work closely with a team of sales associates to handle the day to day needs of the store. This has taught me the value of working with others and how to support one another to accomplish a goal.
Worked with processing and submitting permit paperwork to counties and cities throughout the state of Florida. Coordinated jobs scheduling installers and inspections for various constructions projects. Worked with customers over the phone and face to face explaining the permit and inspection processes while answering any questions or resolving any concerns they had.
Worked as a general laborer mostly pouring and finishing concrete on various construction sites. Also completed a variety of other physical labor tasks to complete a job. Though the work was humble and unimpressive to most I learned perseverance and a strong work ethic doing hard labor.
