At First choice I was tasked with inspecting vehicles purchased from the local car auctions and seeing what repairs may be needed or if they vehicle needed to be returned to the auction. I did electrical, A/C, and brake system diagnostics. I also swapped engines, transmission, rear ends, as well as many other components of the vehicles. When needed I would repair cylinder head issues and timing chain issues.

At Pine Forest I was tasked with diagnosing customer concerns with their vehicles. These ranged from Evap to A/C to brake and electrical issues. I found and repaired a large number of electrical drivability issues for customers.

• Diagnosed and repaired engine malfunctions using advanced diagnostic tools.

• Replaced damaged, missing, or defective parts with new and refurbished components.
• Used specialized tools to detect leaks in gas and refrigerant systems.

Because of my over 25 years of experience in the automotive field I was hired in a Pep Boys as a Master Tech. I was responsible for all electrical troubleshooting and repair as well as all major engine. Transmission , A/C, brake system troubleshooting and repairs. Vehicle alignments and turning rotors was another service I took part in providing for customers. When the shop wasn’t as busy I was asked to teach new techs techniques and supervise their work.

I was hired in as a lead technician at Precision Tune to later take over as Shop manager as well as maintaining the duties as the lead technician. I was tasked with checking customer concerns and providing a solution to repair the problems. I preformed electrical, mechanical, A/C, and brake system diags and repairs. I was able to raise the customer satisfaction and maintain a good level of trust.

While working at Firsstone I did a majority of tire repairs and preventative maintenance work. Brake repairs and engine service were a big part of my work there. System flushes and other services were a daily task. Didn’t get to do as much diagnosing because it mostly went to the senior tech.

In the Marines I was a crewman and technician on amphibious assault vehicles. I went on to become Platoon Maintenance Chief. I was tasked with supervising the preventive maintenance and repairs that were needed on the vehicles. I over saw the work of my technician under my leadership. The diagnosis ranged from electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical. These vehicles were equipped with a tracks system instead of wheels and had a PTO powered water propulsion system that I had to become well versed in maintaining. After noticing and coming up with a solution for repair of a blower exhaust system that had gone unrepaired in the whole Battalion I was the put in charge of the upkeep of the upgun weapons systems for the whole Battalion. I later received a Navy Achievement Medal for keep the vehicles at 100% readiness during an combined arms exercise in Norway.
