When I was introduced to video games at a young age, I was hooked. Over time, gaming became more prevalent in my life as I got older to a point where I was inspired to attempt to make my games. I worked on my first game in Elementary school using Sploder.com, There my inspiration just started to grow further. I started learning Unity in Intermediate-school to make an active volcano for my science project, then learned how to work with Game-Maker Studio in the Intro-GameDev. in my freshmen year of High-school. When I finished my freshmen year of High-school, I whole-heartily decided I wanted to go to college to become a Game Dev. to learn to make games on a bigger, more professional scale and visualize my imagination through interactiveness. My senior year of High-school was the most intense. I've decided to take AP Computer Science after teachers told me not to based on how hard it was, and there were times I just thought I wasn't cut out for programming as I thought I was. But through and through, I preserved, stuck to my dreams, and passed the AP test against all odds. After graduation, programming exponentially became more enjoyable for me. During my time in college, I've worked on projects big and small, ranging from console applications to creating and performing maintenance over video games. Since graduation, I've been honing my skills in my free time and participating in events like HACKUTD in Dallas, so I could get a hands-on experience of what it's like to be inside a programming work environment and entrusted with a project for your group. Thanks to Revature, not only have I've gained Industrial knowledge of programming, but I've also gained the experience needed to work for companies that require it, making me a few more steps closer to my dreams becoming a reality.
