  • Designed and analyzed 4 point frame for balloon gondola that controls equipment that would have to withstand 10 g's of force and support weight of payload and BRS-1 Parachute. Configured materials to best fit System. Conducted FEA analysis to analyze stresses and displacements at points connected to parachute and payload connector.
  • Designed and analyzed flight train bar to be used to secure parachute system to high altitude balloon. Had to determine bar thickness, size, material, eyebolt hole size and location of holes. Used FEA to analyze stress concentrations in model to test for failure.
  • Conducted FEA Analysis on Carbon Fiber Suspension that attached antenna to airship. Worked out various angles with appropriate atmospheric pressure. Focused on bonding plate between antenna components and suspension carbon fiber suspension.
  • Designed on Auto Desk Inventor two frames to fit specs of antennas to be tested. Frames were attached to initial RDP test fixture and fit in designated cut out on fixture.
  • Design front panel using FRONT PANEL DESIGNER to design new front panel for new parallel test box configuration based off of new specifications. Measured and used CAD techniques to determine locations and sizes of cut outs to fit molds for toggle switches, dip switches and sandwich boards. Worked on mill engraving design to be neat, organized and spacious on panel to outline desired labels.
  • Successfully operated ground station in support of rocket launches out of LC-36 compound at White Sands Missile Range. Provided support in gathering of data using telemetry and accurately obtained information from science being sent from space.

Hobbies

I am an avid sports watcher and follower. One of my favorite things about me is that I am fantasy commissioner and run a league for fantasy baseball and football and have been running the same leagues for over 7 years with the same group of guys from high school. On top of that I am an active person as I enjoy playing flag football on Sunday afternoons in a league and slow pitch softball Thursday nights.
