I am a healthy 55 year old sober, married man that has raised 2 loving, respectful, hardworking children that are now living on their own. My wife and I have worked hard and owned a very successful business together in the recent past. We moved up here from Florida 4+ years ago and have successfully built our organic Airbnb bed and breakfast style of farm homestead that includes many raised beds that I built. We also raise egg laying chickens and honey bees. I currently enjoy working with and am developing a caring relationship with people here in the MDI community. I have a passion for growing, harvesting and learning more about healthy, organic foods. I have volunteered for MOFGA to lead the beginners gardening class in Sullivan, ME. I am always honest, on time, and take great pride in the work at hand.
Order products, stock shelves, input products into computer systems, labeling and pricing of products, operating forklift, attending to customers, outside grounds maintenance such as planting and caring for flowers and shrubs, cutting grass with riding lawnmower, along with weed eat trimming. Picking up in my personal truck of animal feed and grain along with loading and unloading of it. Cleaning of the inside and outside of the work establishment. Performing construction projects for shelving, for decorations, and for general upkeep maintenance of the building.
I have 4 years of experience in growing organic fruits and vegetables at our home garden from seed in a self built grow room at our own home I maintain and harvest from a self built worm composting bin in our home cellar My wife and I have been successful beekeepers for the last 4 years of 2 hives at our homestead I have successfully made and sold some products from our apiary and our garden such as honey hot sauce, candles, lip balm and jarred honey I continue to operate mechanical and construction type equipment
I am compassionate about working, living in, and teaching others of a family friendly, simpler life that involves healthy food, a loving relationship with Mother Nature, and the good fortunes of prosperity by coming together. I do enjoy volunteering for our lake community association where we live. I have spent hours helping with the yearly community fund raising cookout event, the invasive aquatic plant paddles on the lake, along with the state organization LakeSmart. LakeSmart is an education and reward program for lakefront property owners who maintain their homes in ways that protect lake water quality and property values.
