Proven to excel in fast-paced environments, I advanced from a busser to a bartender and event staff at Hotel San Luis Obispo, showcasing my ability to learn quickly and lead. With expertise in customer service and bartending, I consistently enhance guest experiences while maintaining efficiency. My journey reflects a strong work ethic and a commitment to excellence in every role.
I was originally hired as a busser but worked my way to becoming a server, bartender and working events. I would serve and bartend in our main restaurant Piadina and Rooftop bar Highbar. Events took place on the property or locations in San luis Obispo with most of them being Wineries.
I worked closely with the design development team, assisting with development of custom residential homes being built in the central coast. Most of the work I was assigned was working with clients deciding materials, tiles, colors etc. Alot 3D design using computer software's and occasionally visiting the sites.
I often worked the opening shifts setting up the shop for the day, I made food and drinks as well as take customers orders and keep the area clean. I wanted to get some experience and knowledge making coffee drinks and drinks in general to assist me in transitioning to bartending.
Working in the busy Edna Valley tasting room helped me develop better customer service skills serving and educating guests on Wolff Vineyards and there wines. They would often have live music and food trucks that I would also help set up and take down.
I was hired as a lifeguard to watch over a busy private club pool and keep the pool deck clean/safe. I was promoted to head lifeguard about a year after being hired to help with organizing and scheduling the other guards.
The busy fast food restaurant was the perfect first job to help me build good work ethic in the fast paced environment. I would take orders indoors as well as outdoors, wash dishes, clean the lounge, and make french fries.
