Screened donors seeking to find out if donors are up to donating standards and physically fit to donate. Hematocrit, temperature, blood pressure, pulse, weight and screening questions are asked of the blood donors at each subsequent donation.
Phlebotomy is performed as two venipunctures are required. A return line and a draw line one venipuncture in each of two arms. Procedure is monitored for a period of 1 hour and 40 minutes usually. If any symptoms are seen or observed a nurse is to be informed. A donor experiencing light headedness should have feet elevated and given juice for some sugar in the mix.
Donors are sent on heir way with a pay card that compensates then for the time spent donating. Usually roughly 2 hours.
Blood product is then placed into inventory as it is bar coded and entered into the computer and lab testing is performed.

Started out cutting the tops off the harvested onions as they lay in the field. Put topped onions in a bushel basket. We were given a token that could be cashed in by the farmer at the end of the day.
Later I got promoted to a field worker who dumped baskets of onions into burlap bags to dry in the field. Burlap bags of onions are picked up and loaded onto a trailer and sorted into orange netting bags eventually loaded onto railroad cars going to Chicago to be sold.
