• Both Mease Countryside Hospital and Mease Dunedin Hospital have consistently performed amongst the best BayCare Health Systems hospitals with many key outcome metrics, and in some cases when benchmarked against national norms.
• Specific metrics include, but are not limited to, physician engagement, readmissions, complication rate, length of stay, Truven/IBM Watson/Merative Top Hospital rankings, and CMS Readmissions Penalty/Value Based Purchasing Programs.

• Trained and mentored physicians on leadership, patient experience and operational excellence in a wide variety of environments.

• Essentially an Assistant Chief Medical Officer role with operational authority over Quality, Regulatory, Infection Control and Clinical Informatics.

• Clinical effort decreased over time with increasing administrative responsibilities.

• Oversaw and developed the expansion of outpatient procedural services to support the opening of 6 operating rooms in a new satellite facility.

• Reported to the Chief Information Officer and served as the primary physician leader for implementation and optimization of a variety of electronic medical records initiatives.

• Created dyad governance structure, optimized block assignments, and drove measurable improvements with all key OR metrics (utilization, first case starts, room turnover, surgical volume, overtime costs, employee satisfaction).
