Provide relief for Line 7 employees to take their breaks. Operators relieved include Coater, Surfacing, Dry End, CTL, Pattern Cutter, Laminator, Supply & Checker, Wrapper/Palletizer, and Front End.
The Coater Operator is the central point of the process line and controls the speed and the granule blending/pulling process. Operator is responsible for monitoring and operating the coater, backing and limestone systems as well as communicating with other Line 7 operators to keep the line operating efficiently and productively.
The Surfacing Operator is responsible for the application of granules, press and cooling of the coated sheet.
The Dry End Operator is responsible for supplying a continuous feed of fiberglass mat to the coater. Other duties include responsibility of the glue system, dry end, unwind stands, and the fife guides.
The Cut-to-Length operator is responsible for cutting laminated shingles and maintaining the shingle dimensions withing defined specifications.
The Pattern Cutter Operator is responsible for performing the first cutting process. They cut the continuous sheet of coated and surfaced material into lanes of Dragon's Teeth and Shim widths.
The Laminator Operator is responsible for the bonding and alignment process of the Landmark product. They monitor and maintain the equipment for the process.
The Supply & Checker Operator is responsible for hauling the finished product off the load conveyor and taking it to the designated staging areas in the warehouse yard along with labeling and placing pallets in the pallet dispenser.
The Wrapper & Palletizer Operator is responsible for performing wrapping and palletizing of the finished shingle product ensuring the quality standards of packaging.
The Front End Operator is responsible for performing tasks associated with starting up, threading the wrapper and looper operations.
The Cutter Operator is responsible for cutting the continuous sheet of coated and surfaced material into shingles with the correct tabs, laying lines and end cuts.
The Wrapper & Palletizer operator is responsible for performing wrapping and palletizing of the finished shingle product.
The Front End operator is responsible for performing tasks associated with starting up, threading the wrapper and the looper operations. This position requires teamwork with the Coater and Hot End Support Operators.
The Starter Strip Operator is responsible for performing necessary tasks to supply the line(s) with the needed materials for the product, ensure a steady supply of materials are on hand to run the lines without delay.
The Grand Manor Operator is responsible for the final process for the product including checking for the appearance of the product, and perform quality checks on the product.
