Inspects equipment to locate and determine the extent of necessary repairs and the corrective action necessary; maintains and repairs automobiles, trucks, tractors, power shovels, graders, snowplows, pumps, air compressors, diesel and gasoline engines, and similar equipment; constructs new special equipment or modifies existing equipment including body frames and running gear; makes installation of or repairs to special equipment; operates and maintains tools and machinery used in the repair and maintenance of heavy maintenance and construction equipment; advises in the selection of parts and equipment; estimates repair costs; instructs operators in the proper operation and servicing of equipment; performs minor welding and brazing work; maintains simple records and makes reports; instructs and supervises helpers or apprentices and inmates or wards; maintains order and supervises the conduct of persons committed to the Departments of Corrections and the Youth Authority; prevents escapes and injury by these persons to themselves or others or to property; maintains security of working areas and work materials; and inspects premises and searches inmates or wards for contraband, such as weapons or illegal drugs

Driving and operating Class A trucks such as Super tag 10 wheeler, Double Bottom Dump, Lowboy, 10 speed transmission,

I worked extensively on diesel trucks and heavy equipment servicing ford 6.0 and 7.3 engines where I removed and installed injectors, turbos, pedestal gaskets. I also performed front and rear suspension removal and replacement on ford f250 trucks. In addition I worked and Chevrolet duramax 6.6 and vortec engines. Removing and installing ?suspensions, water pumps, fuel systems, as well as working on Peterbuilt , Kenworth ,

Freightliner , Volvo. Replacing fuel systems on d6k, d6r, caterpillar and komatsu dozers.

Also managed the shop wrote work orders , checked and ordered inventory or parts also wrote invoices for work that had been done.
