Accomplishments
As a correctional officer, I participated in the development of a new program (Hospice) at Northern Nevada Correctional Center. This program was created to give terminally ill offenders a dignified death in there last days.
As a caseworker specialist, I created a team to develop another new program (Palliative Care) where offenders helped other offenders who needed assistance with their daily tasks, ie. changing of bedding, laundry, and assisting with transportation for various reason. I have experience in working complex caseloads both in segregation and general population. I have showcased an ability to adapt and adjust to sudden changes in policy and procedures. I look forward to an opportunity of continued growth in this department.
