  • Safely and efficiently operate chemical process equipment, such as 2,000 gallon blend vessels and 6,000 gallon water jacket cooled blend vessels. Monitor pressure, temperature and weight of 6,000 gallon water jacket cooled blend vessels using HMI screens (Human Machine Interface). Sample completed batches for quality control lab approval. Package finished product upon completion of blend batches into 55 gallon drums (poly, steel, and lined steel) as well as 275 and 375 gallon IBC and stainless steel totes. Experienced on how to evenly distribute weight of all packaged finished products onto 53 foot flat bed and van trailers using a 6,500lb max load forklift, while meeting United States DOT highway weight requirements. Receive and understand process instructions and procedures required for the production of specific batches. Knowledgeable of how to handle HAZMAT materials. Experienced in loading and offloading HAZMAT materials utilizing nitrogen pressure, diaphragm and centrifugal pumps into tanker trailers, railcar tankers, and ISO tankers (International Standards Organization Tankers). Make effective use of flow meters to verify amounts of chemical volume being transferred into and out of 10,000 plus gallon chemical storage tanks. Have a daily use of 2" and 3" chemical hoses with cam lock or drip less connections to manifold systems. Pipe wrenches, adjustable joint pliers, and screw drivers are tools used on a daily basis. Enter work orders for equipment repairs. Issue general, hot work, and confined space work permits. Complete computer based training (CBT's) when due. Maintain good housekeeping and provide any support to fellow production technicians.
  • I currently help guide projects within the plant and provide input on potential upgrades and improvements. I work closely with all departments and have a solid understanding of how each one operates. I maintain strong communication with operators across departments and am very familiar with the Odessa plant’s operations. My experience allows me to help ensure the plant runs safely and efficiently.
