Live-Saving Award: Received a call for service about two individuals who were unconscious and not breathing. Upon arrival, with a Sgt, and another Deputy, we located the victims in the garage. It was determined they were suffering from an overdose. Narcan was administered and they were resuscitated and brought to the hospital where they recovered.
Teamwork Award: Received a call about a civil dispute involving child custody. Upon arrival, as a two week solo deputy off training, I was able to speak with the caller, and observe court paperwork. After quick and careful review I was able to determine this was a kidnapping/abduction and no a civil dispute. The child was located a very short time later, and the male subject was arrested.
