I worked in Pittville from 1997 to 2003 full-time then continue to work part-time from 2003 until 2017. I was EMS captain in charge of EMS for the department . I started the EMS system for Pittsville and was also instrumental in developing the county system.
I have received the governors award for the state of Maryland twice , I have received a lifesaver award four times. I have been given the Ehrisman award three times for top paramedic. And many other awards over the years, I have been published in gems magazine for starting a wellness program. I retired in 2019 after a total of three year service with two different departments.
