Strategy Games & History Major

Strategy Games

I have been playing strategy games since I was 12 years old. Strategy games facilitate long term goal setting and decision making. Though not every decision is allowed the opportunity to be thoroughly thought out, making quick choices in stressful moments create a sense of quick-time decision making. The importance of time and resource management critical to not just survive but to dominate the landscape. If one is not able to complete the task alone, one may seek alliances with other players. The act of diplomacy is key to maintaining strong friendships through the use of communication skills and the sale of talent/resources/intelligence. Strategy games, while fun, engages with me an exercise of the brain. Able to continuously develop my set of skills as an analyst and strategist fit for any job.

History Major

I am currently enrolled at California State University of Fullerton. I am studying for Bachelor's Degree in History since fall of 2023, set to graduate in May of 2026. Learning about history teaches historical analysis. History also teaches how to understand one's own bias and the author of the historical source. Reading into history creates an understanding of patterns and rhythms developed over the course of time. Collaborating with other students have created a great sense of teamwork necessary for the collaboration of perspectives and knowledge. Creating a more unified grandeur picture and understanding of the historical topic. I have also developed a great habit of writing and express complex analytics of history over the courses of papers. Other means of expressing my work also includes the use of presentations. Which are made to tailor the preferred audience and the esteemed guest(s), for the ease of communication of complex ideas made digestible in a short time span. History is always changing, not just because of new artifacts or sources. But because of how history may be interpreted and analyzed, which is very useful as part of the job.
