Buena Vista Police Department | Accommodation | March 5th, 2020, Assisted an outside agency with a runaway youth who would not cooperate with Police. The individual was known to me, as we had an established rapport. Due to the working relationship, I had with the juvenile, I was able to receive the juvenile’s cooperation and assist B.V.P.D with getting the juvenile back to his family., Leadville Police Department | Life Saving Award | September 2019, A report of a citizen down atop Mt. Sherman (14,035 ft). The RP was in and out of cell service but reported the victim fell and was bleeding profusely and unconscious. Knowing Search and Rescue’s response would be lengthy myself and a city Police Officer began to scale the mountain. After about 2,000 feet in elevation, I contacted the victim, applied basic first aid, and controlled his bleeding. Due to the terrain medical personnel were unable to respond, with the aid of the other Officer, we carried the man down to my vehicle. I transported the victim to a staging point where medical was able to further his care.
