Senior Frontend Developer
The project was a large-scale SSR web application based on 40 microservices with 10-year story. 700 thousand unique users per day. The biggest cultural streaming platform in the country, with 30,000 classical movies, concerts, broadcasts, and lectures. Also was the biggest platform for searching inside 2.5 million cultural events in 1,200 cities.
Development:
• Architected and managed the merging of 2 big frontend repositories. It reduced the complexity of the architecture and decreased server load by 14% and project build times by 32%, eventually saving costs.
• Rewrote 10 years legacy CMS with a self-written UI system to the Ant-Design system with TypeScript
• Integrated Sentry.io ultimately 8% decrease in user-reported issues
• Developed a control panel for visually impaired people • Researched a recommendation system that enhanced conversion rates by 4%
• Integrated automated semantic release that reduced release time by 25% and helped create change logs for user convenience
Tests:
• Innovated components and E2E tests. This resulted in a 22% decrease in the number of bugs that made it into the final tests
• Architected visual regression testing
Team growth:
• Led a complete team of 12 members
• Integrated a performance review and provided a competency matrix
• Regularly conducted 1:1 meetings
• Provided technical interviews and mentored 12 new employees
Jira management:
• Wrote dozens of automation in Jira
