Supervisor Senior SCADA

  • Responsible for renewables (Clean Power) sites at Sempra Infrastructure (wind and solar), maintaining the SCADA availability and keeping the system up-to-date for new functionalities and being the interface between engineering/construction and operational team to achieve agreements (quotes, budgets, commitments dates)
  • Leading efforts for risk analysis and vulnerabilities in the SCADA Systems
  • Being part of the engineering role first, developing SCADA design for the five solar farms that Sempra owns right now
  • Selected to participate in a new business field by successfully leading the commissioning and startup of 5 solar farm
  • Responsible for the ROC (Remote Operation Center), leading the operator staff, one SCADA coordinator and one performance senior analyst, supporting solar and wind farms in terms of updating and standardizing each site's communications network and SCADA systems, analyzing data that helps us to dictate maintenance, energy and money losses
  • Managing new and running projects to improve our systems, such as Tepezala, where I renewed the entire OT management and implemented a new SCADA. I was ñeading the project, integrating all the areas involved (IT/Engineering/Cyber) for this System and Hardware Refresh.
  • Bringing the wind farms to the ROC, designing the network in compliance with the network standards and cybersecurity best practices. I am leading the project of Ventika, one of the most essential assets for Clean Power; I started to manage the existing switches, creating new access and deploying the Sempra standards in terms of network and Cyber. The plan is to refresh the OT environment, change HW, implement the Cyber policies and recommendations and the network standard, and create a new SCADA environment to improve the operation locally and remotely.
  • Working with the Cyber and Network Team to achieve a new tool to monitor the OT in all renewal assets, such as Cyber Vision, creating a new design for a unified SCADA for the Remote Control Room and supporting with understanding the operations to implement a new SOC for OT.
  • I have put an effort into being the best business unit in compliance with all the policies and good recommendations on CyberSecurity, installing scanners on servers and workstations. The next step is to scan the OT devices, such as RTU.
  • Responsible for supporting the PLC or PPC by analyzing events or improving how we control the plant, per the CENACE (Grid Regulator) grid code.
