I am experienced in rail construction with a strong background in rail welding, rerailing, resleepering, and track maintenance. I have been involved in multiple projects including the SSTOM project in North Tunnel and the TSGP bridge upgrade in Adelaide, demonstrating effective team leadership and hands-on expertise.
I was allocated as one of the nightshift team leaders. I worked together with my site supervisor Grant Roustan and our client to allocate the crew to various jobs. Also worked alongside the crew to make sure that our deadlines for our shifts were met safely and incident free and within our compliance requirements. Some of our jobs included lifting and lining plates to the correct rail heights, installing form work around the plates, pouring epoxy into the form works to the correct heights and general house keeping before each shift ended.
I worked as the North Tunnel team leader with my supervisor Blake Zanker for the duration of the project working within the 5km track between St Marys and Orchard Hills. While supporting and leading my team some of our daily tasks
consisted of maintaining rail safety and compliance, laying out sleepers using mechanical aid, cutting rail, building, lifting and lining track, and preparing the track to be concreted, and also general housekeeping duties while always keeping safety as our number one priority. I also stepped in and performed pre work briefs whenever my supervisor was unable to.
