Sonospine Surgery is a Dallas based spinal surgery company with 3 locations in the US. The practice highlights on the innovation in ultrasonic spinal surgery. They developed a sales program with a Medical records and billing integration called CRM. The intake for new patients are handled by patient care managers, (PCM) and entered into the CRM

As the Practice administrator, I was responsible to ensure that all patient related information is transferred from the CRM to the EMR system to prepare for the visit.

  • I worked closely with the medical assistant to ensure that all radiology studies, consults and any medical information is transferred and available for provider review.
  • I was responsible for processing all patient-provider communication to include clinical questions, referral assistance and any other follow up needed after the patient visit.

I was asked to begin the insurance contracting for the new facility, the medical provider and Behavioral Health therapists.

As our business picked up I began processing referrals, assist with scheduling, insurance verification and prior authorization as needed.

  • I was given the task of implementing the new AthenaNet EMR system while ensuring the staff was fully trained.
  • In July 2019 they added the title of Human Resource manager, responsible for timecard management, processing PTO requests, weekly payroll as well as interviewing and hiring staff.
