Analyze data received from the field in order to generate final reports. Ensure work orders sent to inspectors correctly reflect the current voyage requirements. Update clients of cargo operations, ensure port calls run smoothly, and address/manage any issues.
Manage daily operations of warehouse, schedule deliveries and pickups, and maintain inventory while maintaining customer relations.
In June 2018 was promoted to Assistant Manager of the HUB and trained as the Shell Team Lead. Continued learning KPIs for each principal, and suggestions improvements for efficiency and accuracy.
September 2018 became acting General Manager of the Houston Service Centre. Worked with training team members, and implementing procedures and projects/reports to improve efficiency and accuracy of proformas. The position was made official on February 5, 2019. During this time I have saved the company and our clients over $1 million due to resolution/avoidance of delays as well as negotiations of fees and fines.
Throughout COVID I was able to double my team size, implement new clients, as well as guide and train my team in the use and implementation of a new system. Our team was used as the example for how to work during this time due to our effective communication and work strategy.
While at Intermarine began in the Export Documentation Department as a documentation specialist. Entered Bills of Ladings and created invoices, sent manifests to each port prior to vessel’s arrival. January 2012-May 2012 worked for Intermarine through a temp agency, Staff Solve Logistics. Official hire date May 14, 2012.
Moved to the Import Documentation Department in August 2012. Submitted manifests with U.S. Customs and tracked cargo from port of origin until released to customer at destination. Detail oriented in cargo specifics and Customs regulations. Invoiced customers and tracked payments in order to release cargo.
Began in Agency Department April, 2014. Enter and clear vessels with customs. Schedule deliveries of bunkers and supplies, sludge and garbage disposal, as well as arrange transport and boarding for crew changes. Report production of each vessel, and create Statement of Facts. December 2016 began also working in Technical Department doing statistical reports including reports for each vessel, as well as each port of call.
