• Serving as acting principal (substitute for principal and assistant principal) I work primarily with students that are sent out of the classroom because of behavior. Making contact with parents and making decisions for student consequences. As acting principal, I have led a school wide awards program with parents present while all administrators were out. I also go into classrooms to be proactive, check on certain students, and help to prevent students from being sent out of classrooms.
• Serving on the Guided Coalition Team working closely with administrators to discuss and set goals to improve the learning environment, student behavior, and attendance issues within our school by representing the perspectives of my teaching team.
• Serving as grade level chair- providing organizational leadership and support to my teaching team as needed throughout the year.
• Teacher Mentor- I have provided support and guidance to new and experienced colleagues by having them observe in my classroom and then having discussions to improve their own teaching and classroom management skills.

National Board Certified Teacher from 2011-2021. I then decided to begin my Specialists Degree in Reading. My Master's degree is in Curriculum and Instruction.
