Highly professional, hardworking and service-oriented Certified Nursing Assistant with 4 years experience in providing basic nursing and personal care to patients as well as support to registered nurses and healthcare professionals. Providing services related to personal hygiene and care including: showering, oral and/or denture care, hair care, shaving and grooming per schedule or on request. Assist resident with managing incontinence. Assist with dressing and undressing. Assist with meals in the dining room. Encourage resident to adhere to regulatory diets.
Assisting residents mobility, ambulation and transfer utilizing appropriate equipment, aids, and/or proper transfer techniques. Become familiar with individual needs of assigned residents regarding the above criteria.
Attending daily report at change of shift as assigned. Monitor and report change in resident's condition and other information to the Care Manager or other professional. Write in communication book any changes in resident's condition.
Developing appropriate means to communicate with residents who are visually, mentally and hearing impaired, confused. In all areas of daily interaction, must be aware of individual's dignity, self-achievement, and basic mental and physical needs. Respond to the emergency system promptly within three (3) minute time frame.
Responsible for use of personal protective equipment and safe work practices per established facility and managed guidelines and requirements. Reports hazards and equipment malfunction to the Care Manager or Administrator in a timely fashion. Maintain basic cleanliness of resident's rooms and common areas of facility. Participate in fire drills and evacuation procedures if required.
Reporting to scheduled and mandatory training sessions and in-services. Maintain minimum attendance requirement of twelve (12) hours participation annually at in-services per New Jersey Registry standards.
