- Lead, and recruit community residents of Orange County, primarily Santa Ana and Anaheim to involved in civic participation.
- Educate and lead Promotores to plan strategies to encourage education, and civic engagement activities for
community residents.
- Lead outreach activities and events involved with civic engagement such as door to door outreach, Hope & Energy Projects, community forums, calls to action, Get Out the Vote efforts.
- Serve as a coach i order to provide support to other CEA Promotores in day to day activities, including providing advice, support in problem-solving, and trainings as needed
- Support training and capacity-building of promotores
- Prepare agendas and lead project team meetings
- Maintain good communication with promotores regarding weekly activities
● Document, and provide documentation of all outreach and leadership development activities as required by LHA’s Evaluation Department, and support the compilation of program progress and outcome reports
- Serve as LHA representative on collaborations with other agencies and coalitions, such as HEAL Anaheim collaborative, and communicate updates, reposrt and activies to fellow promotores
- Develop and co-facilitate policy advocacy groups, resident
committees, multi-sectorial collaboratives, coalitions, alliances,
that advance LHA’s policy objectives
- Be a bridge between communities and decision-makers in
government and systems that impact local social determinants
of health
- Support CEA promotores in program events logistics, such as securing space for activities, scheduling babysitters, purchasing snacks, and preparing materials.
