  • As a Petroleum Engineer, I was responsible for testing, dispensing, and storing petroleum products for essential aircraft and vehicles used by the government.
  • Installed, operated, maintained, and repaired fuel handling units and accessory equipment, and tested petroleum products to evaluate the quality used in amphibious assault fuel handling systems.
  • Performed in a supervisory position and worked to mitigate operational risk and ensure constant safety during hazardous tasks.
  • Trained peers and subordinates on aircraft refueling procedures, safety procedures, fuel testing procedures, hazmat/spill prevention and clean-up procedures, and maintenance procedures.
  • Responsible for accounting for a daily inventory of 150,000 gallons of jet fuel, and tracked up to $5,000,000 worth of government funds over a period of 4 years.
  • Maintained six-year electronic file of all receipts, documents, and transactions for fuel on an external hard drive and updated ledger on a software program called Fuels Manager Defense Enterprise.
