Over 20 years of registered nurse experience in many clinical areas providing high quality care and leadership to patients and staff. Currently working in the department of Anesthesia overseeing the daily 24 hours operations with the staffing makeup of CRNAs, RNs, LVNs, and a MA in three locations in the Riverside Service Area. Collaboration with department physicians, department chief of service, and assistant chiefs of service with the daily operations and day-to-day duties. Assist with ensuring proper budget management, employee human resources concerns, ensuring policy and procedure are maintained, and safeguarding patient safety. Previously worked as an Assistant Nurse Manager with the ability to cover multiple units and over 50 staff and 56 beds for med/tele patients. 11 years’ experience bedside care in Telemetry and DOU, 3 years as an advice nurse servicing Pediatric, Adult Medicine, and Gynecological patients, 3 years Ophthalmology clinic Charge Nurse managing up to 30 staff members and assisting 20+ MD’s assisting with medications and computerized healthcare documentation using the Epic system. Served as charge nurse for 32 bed unit, consisting of up to 10 RNs, 3 CNA’s, 1-unit secretary, and Monitor Tech. Preceptor to new graduate RNs for 3 months each and new hires and travel nurses. 3 years community health experience with adults requiring daily tracheostomy care and aseptic suctioning.
