During my time here, I assisted doctors during small procedures. Since most of our patients were diabetic, we assisted in cutting their toe nails for them and thoroughly clean their feet because most of them could not reach or had no feeling in them. I cleaned the rooms and sanitized them after each patient and procedure. Answered phone calls and sent faxes (learned to send faxed there). Sometimes, when the front desk assistant wasn’t present, I would attend to her duties and check the patients in myself, as well as greet and ask them if they need help in anything else. I also sent a lot of paper work and copies to different facilities and contacted patients and their insurances as well.
To be a hostess means that your duties are to greet every guest with a big smile and seat them as well. I made sure my area was maintained clean and dry so no accidents could occur. Sometimes, another thing I would do was help our bussers clear off a table that was behind me (the bar or one of the booths) that way it was an easier and quicker seating process and the servers loved it because most of them were fast.
