I have had the pleasure of working in endoscopy for 4 years. I have familiarity with outpatient services while previously working in dialysis. Working in EMS allowed me to learn basic life support skills to further my career path to a more stable working environment. The transition from dialysis to endoscopy has helped me become efficient in time management, communication skills, delivering outstanding patient care, and establishing an affective workflow for myself while collaborating with teammates and physicians to satisfy the patient before, during, and after their procedure. Having a history in the healthcare field for many years allowed me to gain experience and knowledge of the dynamic of healthcare. Healthcare is evolving, as well as practices and protocols. Keeping up with the pace of changes allows me to gain experience, knowledge, and understanding of the healthcare community; while addressing proper infection control, reduce risk of infection, patient satisfactory, and tools to a healthy lifestyle for the patient. I have the ability to troubleshoot, manage time, and confidently work in a fast pace environment to deliver patient needs as well as to offer support to fellow teammates. I am eager to learn new techniques, skills, and would like to further my education in healthcare, and even a career path to becoming an RN.
