Hi, my name is Ari. When I was five years old, my mom showed me the trailer for Legally Blonde, and Elle Woods, with her pink lipstick and awful dog, made quite an impact on me. I immediately declared to the world that I was going to be a lawyer. When my dad came home from work, he was greeted by his shrieking daughter telling him she was going to be a "lawoah"—I couldn’t pronounce my R's until I was 11. I remember him rubbing his face and saying to my mom, "Oh my gosh, what have you done?"
Fast forward eight and a half years, and I’m still aspiring to be an attorney. I hope to graduate next spring and attend New Saint Andrews College, at the Hale Institute. I scored a 1260 on the SAT this March. I swim for the Lewis Clark Neptunes. The late Coach Chris Engledow has been a huge inspiration for me, and many others. Every practice, like clockwork, he would pull me aside and tell me that I could be whatever I wanted if I "Put myself out there and put my back into it".
So here I am, putting myself out there: I am seeking either a paid or unpaid law internship. I am a quick learner and adaptable, open to pretty much anything. If a law internship is not feasible right now, I would greatly appreciate the experience and exposure of an informational interview.
