• My position at power house detox involves providing quality patient care by working together with CITs, MDs, PAs, and/or NPs in order to help clients who come in for medical detox from drugs and alcohol
• In my position you are responsible for providing patient care to 16 patients for an average of 5-7 day detox period
• Skills include performing assessments such CIWAS/COWS, and nursing assessments followed by documentation and communication and also medication and treatment administration
• Delegating tasks and overseeing CITs, obtaining vital signs, receiving, transcribing and inputting orders, admitting and discharge patients
• Also includes contacting outside pharmacies, MAT providers, and inpatient facilities to coordinate client aftercare

• I was a charge nurse overseeing a unit with patients in need of psychiatric stabilization and/or medical detox from alcohol, opiates, benzodiazepines etc
• I worked as team with other nurses, mental health technicians, psychiatrists, therapists, and medical doctors in order to provide safe medical detox and/or psychiatric stabilization for patients with depression, schizophrenia, suicidal/homicidal ideation etc

• I provided patient care to our patients in a dialysis clinic needing dialysis 3 times a week in order to clean blood and balance electrolytes and remove excess fluid! My duties include assessments and med administration and education and care planning as well as inputting order.
