  • Serve as the public face and strategic leader for NFCB, guiding the organization through its 50th anniversary,
  • Spearhead national advocacy efforts for community radio’s essential role in public safety, news & information ecosystems, and hyper-local cultural programming—crafting public policy messaging, congressional outreach, and sector-wide collaboration
  • Secured $236,000 in new grant funding from the Corporation for Public Broadcasting for the Audience Counts Initiative, to help stations respond to demographic and technological shifts; and foster adaptive resilience
  • Spearheaded national data project collaborations with Jacobs Media Public Radio TechSurvey Giving Agency and Reaching Unmet Needs Survey with City Strategies Group for psychographic data on audience segments.
  • Cultivated new program partnerships with Listening Post Collective, Americans for the Arts/Arts Action Fund, Good Conflict, the HBCU Radio Preservation Project, American Press Institute and StoryCorps to provide relevant training and support for member stations.

  • Redefined WSHU Public Radio within the Southern CT & Eastern LI news ecosystem as a solutions-oriented community partner with Hearken, Solutions Journalism Network, American Amplified, American Homefront, NYS Public Radio Exchange & New England News Collaborative, including new print partnerships with CT Mirror & Tu Prensas Local
  • Secured approximately $250,000 in new grant funding to help transform the WSHU newsroom. Including a Sesame Workshop grant to create a science and climate focused podcast with 8th grade STEM students at the Sacred Heart Discovery Science Museum and CT Humanities first digital grant for Still Newtown podcast telling the Sandy Hook story 10 years after the elementary school shooting.
  • Developed WSHU’s first DEIB plan in 2020 and WSHU’s digital-first strategy in 2022.

  • Hired to join the senior leadership team to develop an innovative alliance with local public TV station and boston-based WGBH, while spearheading daily operations of revenue generation through grants, underwriting sales, on-air fundraising, all fund development activities including major gift solicitation for a budget of $4.6M.
  • Forge strong relationships with board members, providing regular updates on organizational progress and soliciting their expertise when needed.
  • Worked closely with organizational leadership and board of directors to guide operational strategy.
  • Managed a team of 10 staff.
  • Provided strategic support to Martin Miller, NEPR CEO through alliance negotiations based on professional experience on mergers and transitions, including board governance strategy and recommending the consultant for post-merger integration plan.
