This was a very special year for me at LRH as a Patient Care Assistant.
I introduced a warm washcloth tradition for all our patients on the floor.
The Talent Team approached me to ask why I started the warm washcloth tradition.
In 2015, I wanted to provide the best hospital stay experience at our hospital.
I began using warm washcloths after washing my face with a hot washcloth that soothed me, and I thought to myself, why not use these hot washcloths for our patients? To my amazement, the patients loved it.
It changed their perspective on the care they were receiving.
In 2018, I won Employee of the Year and took 2nd place in the State of Florida for patient care service.
That same year, LRH implemented my warm washcloth idea throughout the entire hospital.
