Assistant Director

  • Assists in creating, planning and producing 80+ events throughout the year.
  • Creates website pages and ticket pages for all events.
  • Oversees in-person events: set-up/clean-up, communication with speakers and attendees, registration and check-in of all attendees (500-2300), and fulfilling speaker and performer needs.
  • Oversees online events; Lead test sessions with all speakers, acting as technical host for all webinars (350-12,000 attendees), staff representative offering introductory remarks, and occasional moderator.
  • Lead or co-lead on walk-throughs with outside advanced teams and the internal departments (security, maintenance, engineering, A/V, and development).
  • Marketing/promotion, editing and copywriting all digital and print material, part of the creative team for the bi-annual catalogs and promotional emails.

  • Contract-employee hired to support the Managing Director in the preparations and execution of the Annual Gala Dinner, which welcomed 800 guests, as well as to help maintain the daily operation of the organization that serves NYU students during the lead-up to the Gala.

Accomplishments

    Assisted in creating, planning and producing “The BIG Shabbat” at North Javits where we welcomed 3,000 attendees for a dinner and full night of programming/performances to claim the Guinness World Records title of “largest Shabbat dinner in history.” Responsibilities for the program included choosing and implementing the best event management and ticketing platform to suit needs of the event, talent procurement and handling; seating layout and assignments; and working with production crews and designers for deliverables, set-up, sound checks, run of show, catering, and clean-up.
