Directly responsible for onboard refrigeration and air conditioning plants and carried out major overhauls on these systems.

Worked under guidance from senior management and carried out various repairs, maintenance tasks and troubleshooting on engine room machinery and operations. I was primarily responsible for the upkeep of onboard diesel generators, boilers and main engine fuel injection equipment.

Was part of a one of a kind training program launched by Maersk where cadets were trained for both Nautical and engineering aspects of the shipboard operations. Time onboard was split equally between these two departments. At that time, the intention was to have a dual license and sail as Dual Officers. However, the program was scrapped and we were asked to pick only one side as per our desires.

Accomplishments
Undertook various operations, retrofitting and dry docking of large ocean going cargo ships and several other special operations on top of my regular maintenance work.
Accomplishments in co-curricular activities include :
Won an open 5 v 5 football tournament held at Heritage School, Gurgaon, India and won the Best Goalkeeper award.
Submitted an idea for using onboard plastic containers as pots for plants to reduce amount of garbage generated and reduction of plastic waste. My entry was one of the winners and i was presented with sunglasses made of ocean plastic. Was nominated an "Ocean Ambassador" by the Ocean Cleanup foundation.
Created a podcast from home called "The Two Bros' Podcast" and recorded several episodes about a myriad topics. Available on all leading podcast platforms.
Participated in 12 major running events in India, running various distances such as 5k, 10k and 14kms.
During my time off, undertook various online courses on topics such as Music Production (Berklee University), French language A1, photography, stock trading, Indian Law, Podcasting, trading etc.
Joined local tennis and table tennis academies and improved my skills at these sports.
