Drum Corps International Marching Band, Marching music's major league 06/2024 - 08/2024

• Time committed: 110 hrs during junior year school session including weekends for auditions and practice camps.
• Time committed in summer: 72 hrs/week for 2.5 months with the drum corps team.
• Auditioned for 3 rounds of 3 days each and got selected into the Genesis Bugle and Corps from Austin, Texas (world class) to learn, tour and perform as a member of the front ensemble.
• Instrument: Percussion - Vibraphone
• On tour, performing at DCI competitions in different states. As part of this music activity, stayed at different high school gyms, traveled in buses, endured several challenges.
• Performed at the DCI World Championships prelims, semi-finals in Indianapolis, Indiana. Team qualified and competed in the semi-finals.

Marching Band (Fall Semester) - Lake Travis Cavalier Band, July-December of 2021,2022,2023,2024

• Time committed: 25 hrs/week
• Instrument: All percussion with emphasis on Marimba, Xylophone, Tenor Drums.
• Section Leader for the front ensemble during junior year, 2024. As part of this position, attended band leadership meetings, was responsible for organizing and conducting percussion sectional rehearsals in addition to regular band commitments. Assisted my percussion team towards better placements in percussion ensemble competitions and overall marching band competitions.
• Performed as First Chair Marimba position in front ensemble.
• Competed in UIL (University Interscholastic League) competitions (district, region and state levels), TMEA (Texas Music Educators Association), and Band of Americas competitions. As a team, were placed into finals in a number of competitions.
• During my senior year, I will be marching along with playing the Tenor Drums which is a new exciting opportunity for me as part of percussion.

Concert Band (Spring Semester) - Lake Travis Cavalier Band, January-May of 2022,2023,2024,2025

• Time committed: 10-15 hrs/week
• All percussion instruments with emphasis on Marimba, Xylophone, snare drum, tympany.
• Played in different ensembles. Wind Symphony in 9, 10 grade [2nd highest concert band group]; Wind Ensemble [varsity] in 11, 12 grade.
• Qualified for UIL State Solo and Ensemble as Marimba Soloist (2024).
• Received 1s by judges in the solo and ensemble competitions held by Lake Travis High School, 3 yrs in a row.
• Part of the wind ensemble team which has qualified in 2024 (first time in the history of Lake Travis Cavalier Band) to perform at the Midwest clinic in Chicago which is a representation of the band on an international stage. Lake Travis was one of the 6 high schools in the country that got selected and was based on submitted music recordings.
• Part of the wind ensemble team which placed 7th (first time in the history of Lake Travis Cavalier Band) in the TMEA 6A Honor Band State Finals.

 SkillsUSA, 01/2024 - 05/2024

• Time committed: 2 hrs/week and additional time for competitions.
• As part of a team of 2 students, competed in “Additive Manufacturing - Logo Medallion” challenge at the District Level and qualified for State level challenge. This was an engineering STEM initiative, where in the task in hand was to design an eye-catching medallion using a 3D printer.
• Placed 4th out of 9 teams in the State level competition.
• As part of the competition, appeared in a written exam, created an Engineering Notebook of about 45 pages, documenting every aspect of the project and presented to the panel.

Athletics: Basketball, 10/2021 - 04/2022

• Time committed: 25 hrs/week
• Selected and played for the freshman Lake Travis High School team.
• Played basketball at competitive level for out of school leagues Lake Travis Youth Association and Texas Warriors Elite Basketball Team in 2021.

SkillsUSA (2024) (District level, State level with 4th place in the state competition - Competition topic: Additive Manufacturing).

National Honor Society member.

AP Scholar award recipient.

The National Society of High School Scholars member for meritorious scholastic achievement.

Marimba soloist qualified for UIL State Solo and Ensemble and received recognition at the Lake Travis Independent School District board meeting.

Varsity Letter jacket holder which is based on points achieved during high school band years.

Selected as Gifted & Talented student since 4th grade in the Lake Travis School District and continued to maintain it.

Selected as part of Duke Talent Identification Program in grade 7.

Flag Fundraiser Volunteer

• As a member of the high school band team this entailed picking up US flags from a location, driving to the house of a resident who has contributed to the fundraiser and install the flag on national holidays. Installed about 120 flags and then removed them from each house after the national holiday got over.

Special Olympics Volunteer

• Coached and played with kids with disabilities in sports activities such as basketball.

Lake Travis Cavalier Band Volunteer

• Performed as part of the drum line team at Lake Travis ISD education gala which is a fundraiser for the district.

Genesis Drum Corp Volunteer

• Held a clinic for high school students to teach music instruments. As part of this we performed for them and showed them skills to become better at their instruments.

• As part of family involvement, I assist my father in his wood workshop which is a set up in our home's garage. My two younger siblings and mother also join us and we as a family, learn from my father and help him with projects. We have built together things like wood cutting boards, sofas, chairs. It is a great learning and bonding experience and sometimes we brainstorm to come up with efficient designs and solutions. I have helped in sanding, staining, lifting and gluing. This time spent is mostly during weekends and holidays. We have gifted a lot of home made wood items to friends and family as memories.
• I love to cook and bake. I started cooking from the age of 13 where in I would make cakes, cookies, a special Indian curry dish called Butter Chicken. One of my most challenging creations has been for my younger twin sisters' 6th birthday cake. I baked a unicorn rainbow cake and till date it is their most special birthday cake memory. I love flavors, colors and texture in food and try to experiment with it during cooking.
