Work History

Business Planner

Clorox
01.2024 - Current
  • Extensive use of Excel, PowerPoint, Rapid Response, IRIS (AI forecasting model), and a variety of PowerBI dashboard and tools.
  • Assessed market and customer insights to formulate business model recommendations.
  • Monitored actual sales performance against forecasts, adjusting plans as necessary to ensure optimal inventory levels are maintained.
  • Analyzed historical data to identify patterns, trends, and seasonality for use in demand forecasts.
  • Developed collaborative relationships with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment in demand planning processes.
  • Proposed and implemented solutions to improve demand forecast accuracy.
  • Utilized historical data, statistical software, and marketing intelligence to develop and maintain forecast.
  • Utilized advanced Excel functions and tools for data manipulation, analysis, and visualization in support of demand planning activities.
  • Contributed to the implementation of a new Demand Planning software system (IRIS) that increased efficiency and improved collaboration among departments involved in the S&OP process.
  • Conducted root cause analysis on forecast errors, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
  • Led monthly consensus meetings with stakeholders from various departments including Sales, Marketing, Finance and Supply Chain.

Supply Planner

Clorox
06.2022 - 01.2024
  • Extensive use of Excel, PowerBI, Tableau, BOX, and Kinaxis Rapid Response planning software in conjunction with the SAP ERP.
  • Lead efforts to build sufficient supply to target inventory.
  • Corrected our system safety stock settings.
  • Worked across functional teams to eliminate bottlenecks and supply constraints.
  • Leveraged capacity at our DHL partner site to resolve issues with our capacity constraints at manufacturing plant. Through these efforts and the others mentioned above, I significantly improved the case fill rate percentage (CFR) for my portfolio from a low of 73% in December '22, when it was assigned to me, to a high of 99% by the end of April '23.
  • Onboarded and trained three new employees that came onto the plan team after me. I've continued to support the newer employees as the most senior person on the team.
  • I took over the donations and disposal process for my entire business unit. Since I took it over I incorporated some improvements and cleared a backlog of material which reduced our waste onhand by about 2.5 million dollars and helped significantly improve our warehouse space by opening up racking for active products.
  • Drove efforts to try and get product liquidated faster and more often by the sales group as well as getting the broader supply group focused on actioning slow-moving items before they fall into the liquidation bucket. Through my efforts, the destruction and donation dollar amounts were lower month over month and most recently, 94% lower than when I first took over the process.
  • Lead efforts on fulfillment and cut minimization in two of our key business, special program areas. I worked to ensure a 100% pack out and fulfillment for vs forecasted demand for this special program. Thus achieving our maximum service and revenue potentials from a supply perspective.
  • Used creative methods (such a product breakdowns and component reclassifications) to provide stock for orders during a critical time period while we were having supply constraints, thus preserving a key customer relationship.
  • Worked together with cross functional teams to push through data integrity corrections and improvements.
  • Worked closely with my supply teammates to achieve successful item transitions through new item setups and end of life processes.
  • Regularly share candid feedback with senior leadership to help drive change and best practices throughout the whole of the planning organization.
  • Communicated regularly with our manufacturing plant to address capacity bottlenecks and drive prioritization and efficiency.

DC Operations

Clorox
01.2021 - 06.2022
  • Extensive use of SAP and Excel.
  • In addition to my previous inventory management responsibilities, I assumed more leadership and cost savings analysis duties in this role.
  • Onboarded and fully trained an employee and regularly delegated work I was previously performing in the inventory control role so I could focus on my new responsibilities. I continued to support this new employee as needed, maintaining responsibility and ownership over our key inventory metrics.
  • Significantly improved efficiency and reduced costs at the warehouse by implementing an A-B-C racking method at the warehouse and having the fastest moving items placed in the most accessible locations.
  • Worked with the warehouse management and our project teams on efforts to select the best carriers and reduce shipping costs.
  • Lead efforts to lean out our SKU portfolio and off-load slow moving items to maximize warehouse space potential.
  • Lead efforts with IT to develop a method in SAP to allow us to increase the number of inventory adjustments we could enter per day from around sixty, to hundreds. Afterwards- I was a key contributor to the inventory adjustment automation project.
  • Developed a liquidation process and generated stock analysis on a monthly basis that helped our sales team liquidate product and greatly reduce our potential risk of expiry on hand, potentially saving the company hundreds of thousands of dollars in write offs.
  • Developed a quality release process that greatly improved the accuracy and timing of our quality release; as well as captured gaps that we had in the process.
