I am a passionate psychiatry resident from Iceland looking for a challenging and fulfilling residency to match my ambitions and goals in the field of psychiatry. I have acquired professional experience as a doctor in a wide range of psychiatric departments at the University Hospital of Iceland where I am currently a resident, as well as internal medicine, emergency medicine, primary care and the COVID-outpatient clinic in Iceland.

Volunteer at Fru Ragnheidur - Red Cross Harm Reduction Program IFMSA International Exchange to Thailand Student Achievement and Incentive Fund for Academic Achievement

September 2019 - Present

• Fru Ragnheidur is a harm reduction project that aims to reach marginalized groups in society, such as homeless individuals and people with addiction, especially intravenous drug use.
• For 3 years I have routinely volunteered in the nursing reception and am now volunteering as a doctor, assessing possible infections and prescribing antibiotics.

Volunteer at A Flotta - Red Cross Refugee Awareness Program

October 2013 - March 2015

• A Flotta is a Red Cross Refugee Awareness Program where young adults spend 48 hours in role-play that tries to simulate the extremely difficult living conditions and the uncertainty refugees experience.
• Its main purpose is to raise awareness and help people to better understand what they go through.
• I attended the role-play and subsequently became a part of the planning committee.
