NSF funded REU research program for undergraduate students in applied mathematics

• Cleaned, transformed, and analyzed large datasets of 10,000+ tweets, using python, to uncover hidden trends and patterns for actionable insights.
• Implemented transfer learning to optimize the performance of our transformer neural network in predicting the label of the input tweet.
• Enhanced data-driven decision making by implementing machine learning models and algorithms.
• Adapted quickly to new programming languages or technologies as required by research projects or collaborators.
• Worked with natural language processing for a machine learning project to predict if a tweet precise meaning.

• Explained how to analyze trends between variables, notably how to optimize profits given different variables.
• Conducted biweekly LA sessions to enrich understanding of underlying concepts in Calculus.
• Taught 10-20 students at a time, making sure to check for understanding of each individual student.

• Coached, and worked collaboratively with team members to deliver individualized instruction in a group setting.
• Multitasked while teaching 2-4 students at a time, each with their own unique learning plan.
• Assessed students’ learning progress and engagement throughout instructional sessions.
• Developed tailored instructional materials for diverse learners, improving overall classroom performance.
