• Working at Medical-Surgial Unit (Neurosurgery-Bariatic Floor)
• Total of 25 total beds in this Unit, with 1:5 nurse patient ratio, 1:4 if with telemetry patient.
• Cases Handled : spine procedures, post spinal fusion surgery, laminectomy, hernia repair, brain tumor ressection, bariatric surgeries, laparoscopic surgeries/procedures, EGD.
• Telemetry Cases Handled : post procedural cardiac monitoring, pt's with hx of Atrial fibrillation, pt's with pacemaker and cardiac arrythmias.
• Managed patients recovering from surgical procedures.
• Conducted monitoring and evaluations of behaviors and conditions, and updated surgeon with current information.
• Advised patients and caregivers of proper wound management, discharge plan objectives, safe medication use and disease management.

• Total of 25 total beds in our unit, and we handle 5-6 Nurse -patient ratio( Med-Surg / PCU / Telemetry patients) more on ORTHO and TRAUMA Cases.
• Med-Surg Cases Handled : Infections, Pneumonia, Joint (hip and knee) replacements, different kind of fractures, trauma, COPD, Covid19, UTI's, Diabetes, Fall-related injuries, hernia repairs, sepsis etc.
• PCU / Telemetry cases Handled : Cardiac cases such as MI,CHF, Cardiac Arrthymias, DVT/PE, AICD/Pacemaker placement
• Handled common PCU med drips such as Amiodarone, Insulin Drip and Heparin drip
• Managed care from admission to discharge.
• Responded and performed emergency medical procedures such as BLS, ACLS and other condition stabilizing interventions.
• Working with trauma patients ( stabs, falls, shootings, motorcycle crashes, motor vehicle accidents, occupational/freak accidents, sports injuries) that result in fractures, lacerations, closed head injuries, Subarachnoid/subdural hematomas.
• Taking care to patients with scheduled ORIFs, IM nails, spinal disk fusions, incision and evacuation, muscle flaps, incision and drainage.
• Caring and managing patients with wound vacs, hemovacs, JP drains, external fixators, ace wrap/splints, immobilizers, TLSO braces, hinge braces, traction, NG/PEG tubes.
• Managing pain effectively, PCA pump maintenace, wound care/dressing changes and education on pain management, mobility and self care.
• Received patients from PACU, monitor post-op vitals, set up PCA, fluids, review post-op orders, orient patient to unit and review plan of care.

Intensive Care Unit

• Cases handled : patient that have suffered from strokes, both hemorrhagic and ischemic, traumatic brain injuries, brain tumors, Heart attacks, vehicular accidents, sepsis, ESRD, Respiratory failure etc.
• Completing thorough neurological assessments to both conscious and unconscious patients.
• Vigilantly monitor their patients, watching for neurological decline and intervening as soon as possible.
• Assisting in the end of life care.
• Monitored patient's respiratory status and ventilator operation and made adjustments to promote stabilization
• Oversaw various aspects of telemetry by administering vasoactive drugs, titration, thrombolytic theraphy, dysrhythmia interpretation and chest tubes.
• Have experience of being in-charge in the unit and responsible in training of new staffs

Medical - Surgical Unit

• Deliver patient-centered care in a 99-bed hospital with 1:10 patient ratios and educate patients and families on prognosis,treatment plans, and at home care.
• Cases Handled : CAP,COPD, MI, DM, sepsis, acute appendecitis, glaucoma, bowel obstruction, cystitis, bone fractures, post Caesarian Section, post exploratory laparotomy, post TURP, Cancer pt's, etc
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to analyze patient data, evaluate diagnosis and implement treatment plans based on symptoms,age, and mental health needs.
• Administer medication, perform physical examination of patients, deliver IV's, and perform EKG testing
• Administering Chemo Drugs, prepared by Oncologist
• Responsible in trainings of New staffs
• Nurse-in-Charge of the unit
