Summary

Seasoned Welder with 17 years of hands-on experience setting up and operating welding equipment to assemble metal structures. At D&S Crane and Hoist, we built and installed overhead cranes. We serviced and maintained the cranes to keep them running. Outside of that, we would change out structural columns, crane girders, and crane rail. A lot of these tasks required significant welding and burning techniques.

At Shawrose construction, we built and erected cellphone towers to AT&T and Verizon standards. The past 12 years at Cleveland Cliffs, I spent 2 years on the continuous anneal line, before moving to central maintenance. We would do some millwright work, but for the most part it was all construction. In this group we specialized ironworking, pipefitting, welding, and carpentry. Structural welding and Pipe welding are my specialties. I was the team leader for the structural side of things. I spent some time on the planning side of things, coordinating work, and ordering materials to complete jobs.

I am a certified mobile crane operator, manlift operator, and fork truck operator. I am certified in SMAW and GMAW structural welding in all positions. I am certified in SMAW 6G pipe welding, 6010 root 7018 fill out uphill, as well as SMAW 6G pipe welding 6010 root 6010 fill downhill.
