  • The majors offered at any school of higher education are the foundation and the constitution whereby any college is viewed in terms of the outcome from student family support, communities, and inherently from the school and accrediting body in terms of future opportunities for students and sustainability of the institution as it concerns enrollment management.
  • The curriculum committee is a mediator between faculty and the administration to perform best practices regarding the academic tone and trajectory of the college.
  • During my tenure, I led an eight-member team through TRACS (Transnational Association of Christian Colleges and Schools) through candidacy and full accreditation.

  • I performed day-to-day operations in terms of student advisement, faculty scheduling, training, hiring, planning programs, and initiatives, creating relationships with community stakeholders, administrative operations, and other defining responsibilities to support the vision of the college.
  • My tenure produced a concise five-year strategic plan to align with the vision of the college by incorporating a departmental council to aggregate and streamline the shared governance of the department in terms of retention and recruitment teams, media, curriculum, assessment, and programs.

  • The conference under my leadership experienced progressive visibility of the conference in terms of partnerships in the community, and participation of arts organizations locally, nationally, and internationally.
  • The conference hosted respected theoreticians such as Dr. David Driskell, international curator artist, and scholar, Dr. Mary Schmidt Campbell, President, Spelman College, Mr. Omar Wynn, Smithsonian Museum of American History, Ms. Michelle Duster, great-granddaughter of Ida B.
