
I made the decision to become a nurse because of my outpouring passionate care for helping others. I enjoy being able to , and strive to, make a positive difference in the health of others. I am highly self-motivated and I desire to be equipped with knowledge and skills that allow me to be an aid in critical times. I am passionate about learning in my field, all while passing this knowledge on to my patients. I feel that my capabilities and skills that God molded into me, was all for the privilege to serve others.
This job allowed me gain the knowledge of working under high pressure, critical thinking, attention to detail, good organization, excellent written and verbal communication, ability to counsel patients and families, and work as an effective team member during critical moments while maintaining calmness.
Upon graduation, I was able to orient for a few months in the ICU that lasted until the pandemic began. Here, I learned how to evaluate and monitor critically ill patients. provide ongoing assessments of critical patients, deliver regular updates to doctors, patients, and families, complete necessary paperwork before transfer of patient, and assisted with bedside procedures such as central line, and a ventriculostomy.
This position allowed me to gain the ability of working as both a leader and a team member, to manage my time more efficiently, to pay close attention to detail, and to be self-driven at all times.
