Dynamic and results-driven Shift Leader with a proven track record at Tropical Smoothie, excelling in team leadership and cash handling. Recognized for effectively training new employees and optimizing store operations. Strong problem-solving skills and a positive attitude contributed to seamless shift coordination and improved customer satisfaction.
Tropical Smoothie Cafe at E12 Mile and Mound was my first job. I started in June of 2021. I was able to quickly pick up on tasks and learning stations. These stations being Cashier (drive thru and lobby orders), Smoothie make line, Blend line, Food line, Dishes, and Cleaning. Learning these tasks quickly led me to become a versatile worker and useful on any shift. I was often put on closing shifts so I’m great at making sure a store is thoroughly cleaned and ready for the morning.
I began working at Tropical Smoothie 15 and Utica in March of 2022. My boss moved me to this location shortly after he gained ownership of the store. I continued to improve at closing and learned how to open the store in the morning. Making prep lists and handling lunch rush. I was promoted to Shift Leader in July of 2022, right after I turned 18. My boss didn’t hesitate give me this responsibility considering my ability to learn, work well with others, and coordinate a shift. This put me in charge of counting tills, refunding orders, keeping an eye on labor, making sure everyone is on task, assigning stations, training new employees, and putting away truck or produce orders. I have excelled as a shift lead since.
I was hired as an opening manager at Big Apple Bagel in Shelby Township. My responsibilities included setting up deliveries for other stores, counting the register, inventory counts on all products, and running the store independently. I was able to learn quickly in a fast-paced, hectic environment. After only a month I was trusted in the store by myself. This job showed me my ability to navigate a new, stressful environment. I left this job because I did not appreciate the food standards they had in place. I wasn’t comfortable making food at a place I would not eat at. However my experience at Big Apple Bagel was short, I believe it taught me a great deal more and improved my skills.
