I am currently a Document Control Specialist experienced in storing, managing and maintaining company and project documents while ensuring accuracy and quality. Starting my employment at Ortho Development as a Clean Room Technician and a later as a Clean Room Lead and Assistant Production Planner, I was able to bring my acquired experience and knowledge on our products with me to my Doc Control position. I now process documents for revision and approval, organize documents from conception to distribution and filing. I have a growth mindset and I'm willing to help my team move business forward with any task.

Document Control Specialist

  • Reviewed proposals of both new and revising documents prior to release, such as implant and instrument drawings, control plans, work instructions, procedures, forms, etc.
  • Released new and revised documents and notified product teams of releases.
  • Issued and distributed copies to different departments of the company, as well as to outside suppliers.
  • Assigned new numbers for change orders, control plans, reports, and protocols to different teams (Knee, Hip, Trauma and Spine).

Trainings included sterilization of medical instruments, implants and sub-components in the ultrasonic room, as well as inspection of parts after sterilization, assembly of implants, packaging, shrink wrapping, labeling/ label printing, and preparing sterilizer loads for shipment.
  • Followed requests of Clean Room Supervisor as needed.
  • Gathered numbers of parts moved through each station and reported to supervisor to ensure daily output goal was met.
