Maintain comprehensive control of locks and permits (both open and closed) through detailed logging and weekly reporting
Ensure the proper placement and removal of locks and tags on designated equipment and systems
Oversee and maintain Electrical LOTO permits, lock boxes, and all associated equipment
Confirm that all protective measures outlined in the permit are implemented before work authorization or commencement
Guarantee that equipment or systems are in a safe configuration post-work, before re-energization
Maintain comprehensive records of lock management and lock logs
Conduct evaluations of long-term isolations to protect equipment, performing weekly and quarterly audits of these isolations
Address inquiries related to the Electrical LOTO procedure and control of hazardous energy as necessary
Validate LOTO permits subsequent to confirmation with the permit requestor and authorized isolator that there is no residual or stored energy present in the isolated circuit system or equipment
Maintain an updated list of authorized permit requestors, authorized isolators, electrical authorities, and electrical proximity authorities, ensuring requisitions are accepted solely from authorized personnel
Periodically assess the integrity of lockout/tagout devices and initiate replacement as required
Perform weekly audits of lockout/tagout permits, including field inspections aligned with the Boots on the Ground safety program, while maintaining records of all audits conducted
Interpret the work scope from drawings, read electrical one-line drawings, and review supporting documentation related to de-energization and isolation permits
Seek technical support from field engineering, construction, or pre-commissioning teams to interpret drawings and make necessary updates or redlines to existing drawings and electrical equipment tags
Develop and implement a Lockout/Tagout training program that must be completed by all employees involved in Lockout/Tagout activities at the Golden Pass LNG Facility
Provide training on Lockout/Tagout, Permit to Work, and Authorized Gas Testing to over 2,000 GPX site employees
Create training materials and mentor trainers to deliver Lockout/Tagout, Permit to Work, and Authorized Gas Testing training both on-site and at the offsite main hiring office
Maintain a 6-month to 1-year forecast on tools and materials necessary for Lockout/Tagout, ensuring procurement, organization, and storage of required materials in climate-controlled environments
Enforce, advise, mentor, and educate on the control of hazardous energy policies and procedures, serving as the subject matter expert (SME) for GPX LNG electrical construction, pre-commissioning, and commissioning activities
Ensure the maintenance of essential systems and electrical substations, assist operational teams, and support preventative maintenance initiatives within the GPX LNG Brownfield Operational Area
Electrical Safety Coordinator and Principal Point of Contact for Electrical Isolation Matters, encompassing GPX stakeholders, Joint Venture Contractors, Sub-Contractors, Temporary Power Services, Emergency Response Teams, Field Safety Personnel, Third-Party Testing Entities, Preservation Experts, Plant Operations, Maintenance Teams, Vendors, and Visitors
Cross-trained in the Work Management System (WMS) and the Permit to Work (PTW) protocols to assume supervisory responsibilities in emergencies, thereby ensuring continuous site coverage on a 24-hour basis
Served as the Acting Senior Tagging Authority, responsible for the management, scheduling, and supervision of Tagging Authorities in the realm of Electrical Lockout/Tagout and Authorized Isolators
